About us
Charleston BCM exists to help students discover the story of Jesus, grow in a deeper relationship with Him, and be equipped to follow Him for a lifetime. We are a campus ministry for students of all backgrounds- whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time, come from a different faith tradition, have grown up in church, or are simply looking for meaningful community. BCM is a place to ask questions, build genuine friendships, and find a community where you belong while navigating college and beyond.

"I grew up in church and was there at least three times a week, but as I got older, I stepped away from my faith because it no longer felt like it was “fitting my life.” I reached a really low point during my senior year of high school and realized Jesus was the only one I could turn to.
When I came to college, I knew I needed a community that would push me and encourage me to grow in my walk with Christ. That’s when I found Charleston BCM. Through BCM, I’ve had incredible opportunities, including going on a mission trip to North Africa, visiting other campuses in Oklahoma, leading the tabling team, and preparing for another mission trip.
BCM has helped me grow in my relationship with Christ beyond what I thought was possible - on my campus and around the world."
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and the foundation for our faith and life. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again. He offers forgiveness, hope, and new life to all who trust in Him. We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus, not by works, and that following Him transforms every area of life. We believe the Church is called to live in community, love others well, and share the good news of Jesus on campus, in our city, and the nations.
Why College Ministry Matters
College is a season of life where students are asking big questions, forming lifelong habits, and making decisions that shape their future. College ministry matters because it creates space for students to explore faith, find community, and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus during one of the most influential seasons of their lives.
